Things are heating up on the campaign front. The McCain office has ads out right now and Palin, too in terms of Obama's past ties with a former political activist/radical turned educator, William Ayers.
In my opinion and from my observations, this does nothing but fuel the fodder of the hate mongers. The accusations are now freely flowing with McCain's supporters denouncing Obama as an 'Arab,' a 'Muslim' , a 'terrorist', a 'terrorist sympathizer', one who doesn't 'support the troops', a 'socialist', an 'enemy of the state' 'THAT ONE', and calling for the death of Obama. This is not only bad for the campaign but is really scarey in what it can do to the United States
What is wrong with people. I don't believe McCain supports this type of venemous diatribe but it is unfortunate that the "racist ones" who are bitter and frightened are now coming to the forefront. Should we fear for Obama's life?
Stay tuned for the Reverend Wright noise coming soon from a Republican rally near you. Pastor Hagee's violent rhetoric is much worst than Reverend Wright's. But I say, how many of you agree with your pastor, your friends, etc assertions and opinions?

"Sarah Palin briefly arrested the collapse of John McCain's odds of winning the presidency with her performance in the debate last night: By this morning, McCain's odds on Intrade had upticked from 33% to 33.8%.
Alas, the Palin effect quickly wore off, and by the end of the day, McCain's odds had plummeted to a new post-convention low: 30%. McCain has now lost 18 points in the past 18 days."

Maybe McCain got up on the wrong side of the bed on that day in history.

"AS THE financial crisis pushes the economy back to the top of voters’ concerns, Barack Obama is starting to open up a clear lead over John McCain in the opinion polls. But among those who study economics for a living, Mr Obama’s lead is much more commanding. A survey of academic economists by The Economist finds the majority—at times by overwhelming margins—believe Mr Obama has the superior economic plan, a firmer grasp of economics and will appoint better economic advisers."
Things that make you go hmmmm.....
"“I take McCain’s word on this one,” comments James Harrigan at the University of Virginia, a reference to Mr McCain’s infamous confession that he does not know as much about economics as he should."

"Although a type of Pentecostalism, Prosperity theology adds a distinctive layer of supernatural positive thinking. Adherents will reap rewards if they prove their faith to God by contributing heavily to their churches, remaining mentally and verbally upbeat and concentrating on divine promises of worldly bounty supposedly strewn throughout the Bible. Critics call it a thinly disguised pastor-enrichment scam. Other experts, like Walton, note that for all its faults, the theology can empower people who have been taught to see themselves as financially or even culturally useless to feel they are "worthy of having more and doing more and being more." In some cases the philosophy has matured with its practitioners, encouraging good financial habits and entrepreneurship.?
Boy oh boy oh boy!
I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ but there is something called commonsense, eh? This reminds me of those who sit on the couch all day during the week, attend church on Sunday to get their weekly 'hit', then pray that a miracle happens without any action from them. What an excuse for not doing good works and carrying your own weight.
Now, I will reserve myself in terms of speaking about those prosperity preachers who prey on those who feel so hopeless that they must grasp upon something -- anything -- no matter how predatory or destructive it may be -- guns or religion <lol>
I am blessed and I bless others particularly my mom and daughter. I am not blessed because I give loads of money to another man to have a mansion and preach to me in a crowd every Sunday.
I do truly believe that us tiny human beings aren't all 'IT' and that there is indeed intercession on our behalf. But I try and do things the right way and muck up on occasion. I went to college not because I wanted to be a professional. It had something to do with boredom and what I believe was the place for me at that time. I then went on to get my M.S. for professional reasons and then went from the 'projects' in Chicago to where I am today with many many bumps on the way. We all do do-do things but that is also what makes us unique. Our journeys are different but the end game in my opinion, is finite.
So folks who believe in the Lord, get REAL! Open your eyes. If you are paying $1200/mo for a mortgage and a financier approves your re-finance at $200/mo, that financier is up to something tomorrow so find your escape route QUICKLY! Or better yet, just say NO to frugs.
